Visiting Melbourne and planning to play a game of golf?

If the top course in Australia is at the top of your list then you’re in luck because The Royal Melbourne Golf Club is only a thirty minute drive from the CBD in the prime golfing land of the Melbourne Sandbelt.

The Melbourne Sandbelt

These courses are further away (a 90 minute drive from Melbourne) but well worth the trip, especially if you stay overnight and combine golf with wine tasting or a coastal walk.
Boasting some of the most spectacular ocean views on the peninsula is Flinders Golf Club, which has proved to be a challenging course for experienced and social golfers alike.

A fifteen minute drive from the CBD will take you to Yarra Bend Public Golf Course, set among established gum trees on the bend of the river. Also boasting a substantial driving range where you can warm up, 18 holes of golf will cost around $40 depending on the day of the week and can be booked online.
